As we develop this site, different events for GenuComm will be listed in this area. We plan on having training events and teaching seminars that will help people develop better communication skills and also learn to be intentional in moving toward genuine communication. These event will take place in different parts of the world depending on the need and availability of volunteers.
GenuComm Seminars
Especially close to our heart are our "Free to be You, Free to be Me" seminars. These seminars are designed to help understand how to have genuine conversations with those who may have radically different views from our own. It is a seminar on not trying to change the "other" but rather to strive to understand why and how views different from our own exist.
We have found that in having these type discussions, we typically learn as much about ourselves as others. We learn to understand our own views better and articulate them more clearly and succinctly.
Typically, these seminars are held in more intimate settings like homes.
